Coatings process utilizes emerging Thermal Spray technologies to apply
extremely wear resistant coatings to virtually any substrate. Our process produces crack
free coatings in thickness of 0.001"-0.060" with hardness values ranging from
Rockwell 55-75 on the "C" scale. We incorporate proprietary compositions of
Carbides, Ceramics, and Alloys to achieve thermal, abrasive, and corrosive resistant
characteristics unmatched by any of the conventional hardfacing alloys popular today! The
process provides for smooth coatings that are uniform in thickness, and in the most cases,
can be used in the "as applied" state. During the process, target components
rarely exceed temperatures of 350°F permitting a broad spectrum of applications. |

| The
Process |
| Extreme Coatings expands
on the natural tendency for a molten particle of material to bond mechanically to another
material upon impact and rapid solidification. A comparison may be to that of a weld
splatter droplet adhering to its base metal. Our process harnesses the extremely high
temperatures and forces of gas combustion to transform ultra-fine particles, typically
less than 0.003" in diameter, into molten droplets traveling at speeds in excess of
2400 feet per second. Upon impingement, the particles flatten, solidify, and form an
inter-locking bond within themselves and the pre-treated substrate. Deposit densities
exceed 90% , and in some cases approach the 100 percentile. Virtually any material
available in powder from can be applied via the Extreme Coatings
process. |
