| Cobalt & Nickel Base Alloys are used for wear resistance
primarily in applications where the effects of high temperature and/or corrosion are
coupled with abrasion, erosion, adhesion, surface fatigue, or any combination of these
hostile environments. Essentially, it is only necessary to utilize these alloys if there
is a presence of high temperature or corrosion. Otherwise, satisfactory wear results may
be equally obtained using a less expensive Iron base alloy. Comparative Compositions Chart
